What do units with distinctive headgear (SF, Ranger, Airborne) wear with the new AGSU (Pinks & Greens)?

Hello RallyPoint, hope everyone is doing well. I’ve noticed that the Army has bought back the Pinks & Greens as a new service uniform. While seeing this, a question has popped up that I am a bit curious about. For SF, Rangers, or other units (i.e airborne) with distinctive headgear, do you were your beret with the new AGSU like your other uniforms or do you stick with the service/garrison cap? Was just wondering about that. Anyways, hope you are all well.

That is a roger. Distinctive head gear is authorized with the AGSU.

Units will maintain their berets. This is the 82ND ABN CSM. He was even wearing brown Jump boots.

Good question. I would hope that the Airborne, Rangers and SF continue to wear their distinctive headgear. They earned the qualifications and should be allowed to continue. AR 670-1, Appearance & Wear, will address the issue if it hasn't done so already.

The authorization memo says that the berets are worn. I think the garrison cap with the paratrooper patch would look better.
