I am going to have to go with the M16. We have had one variant or another as the standard issue rifle for over ****50**** years. The M1 Garand would be a close second in my opinion.

Looking from a global view, the Kalashnikov hands down. Second place goes to the Mausers in all variations. Third goes to the British 303 bolt in its variations. All used by more countries for longer periods than the M1 and M16. Some will have a soft spot for Mosin-Nagants. Most stupid friendly kill weapon would be the French Chauchat.

Military Firearm throughout the entirety of War? Or just for America? If for the Martial History of the World the answers would be vast and varied.

If you the United States you would have different answers based on different Wars. For example during the Revolution it would be the Musket. Lever-Action for the Civil War, the M1 for WWII, the M16 for Vietnam and up.

FROG gear has saved lives also along with Balestic Eye Protection.

Engineering tried and true D7, D8 and D9 Dozers can't build FOB's or good defense with out them.
Route Clearance saves lives need Buffalo and Husky. Then the robots we use to check clearance and devices.

Most iconic equipment - The jeep - Synonymous for lightweight off road military style vehicles since WWII. Even vehicles that aren't jeeps are called jeeps.
