Helping raise the best Grandsons in the world. So far, I have been successful. Others may have different opinions, but they are wrong.

Great question Margaret! When I hear the word mission I think of a duty, a responsibility, something larger than myself, something with a goal or higher purpose. Like PO1 John Miller my first and primary responsibility is to my family. Though, based on my interpretation of mission, I see it as more a duty than a mission. For me, my mission would be to keep actively serving my community as a Boy Scout Leader, CERT member and in other volunteer capacities to pass on the things that life has taught me - good and bad - to the next generation. Ok sounds corny but I feel we all need to do our part to follow the Golden Rule and make this world a better place - something a LOT of people, starting with the folks in DC that occupy big white buildings, have forgotten about.

I feel that you are such a noble man; MAJ Robert (Bob) Petrarca. You must make a great father, husband, Boy Scout Leader, and CERT member. (I was a NERT member. What does the acronym CERT stand for?) You are decidedly the gentleman.
And Major, I do not feel that your recommendation for us all to follow the Golden Rule, is corny at All.
We need, not only to love ourselves, but our neighbor as well.
This ole world needs a lot of help; and who better to help out than the military.
Hooah, Major.
With My Love in Him, Margaret

I could say that my mission besides what I already listed is helping my fellow local veterans. To accomplish that I joined the Combat Vets Motorcycle Association (CVMA). Our motto is "Vets helping vets" and we do many things to help local Tucson-area veterans.

I feel that my mission on this planet is to leave it in a better state than what is was provided to me as. I was born not too long ago on 05/31/1988. I grew up loving the outdoors and playing G.I.Joe (one of my favorite cartoons, even though it was before my time). I knew I wanted to emulate my heroes and carry own my families proud military heritage. I have relatives in every branch, and though our names are different, we all have served without hesitation.

Nowadays I accomplish my mission by volunteering and spreading positive vibrations through my actions and deeds. I am far from perfect and I usually seem to take several steps forward; only to backtrack. I want to help my community (wherever I currently reside) and Our Nation in general. I want to be able to connect with people and not just say the generated "Hello, how are you". I am taking up studies into Plant Sciences and Horticulture, based mainly on my belief that were are the caretakers of this planet.
I spend my days studying for classes, networking, and watching "WWYD" videos and the like. I want to matter, I want my name to be remembered. I want the good deeds of my life to outweigh the bad. In a religious sense, I want to achieve enlightenment. I want to be welcomed in my death with open arms. But I just don't know if I can get there. Maybe never quitting is one of the ways you do get there, and accomplish your mission? I can only hope.
