What do you consider to be pros and cons of Suwon Air Base?

Pros. The train is right there. The gyms are pretty good. The DFAC is (or was) good. Tactical pro, it is a good ROK location south of Seoul and gives the ROK-US alliance more opportunities for partnership.
Cons. It's shawshank! Not many POVs. Poor resources. Poor barracks. MTOE doesn't match resources. 1 or 2 year tours with constant gains and losses makes it very difficult for continuity, unit pride and other necessities

The only I had with the weight room was no power/squat rack and the fixed that shortly before my departure. They had those buses, though. Don't miss it, though. What are your gripes about the barracks - table time?

Pro there is plenty to do right off the Air Base (best chicken),just a train ride away from Yongsan Osan and Camp Humphreys. Cons unless you have a good MWR coordinator there isn't much to do on the installation

Humphreys was 30 minutes away. Youngsan was longer unless you took a bullet train, as I recall. I still think "Chicken & Beer" should have Ludacris' face or influence somewhere in the restaurant.
