Had I not been warned that "Quantico was not the Fleet" I would have.

I'm not sure what to call the relationship, but "customer" isn't it. I think "hostage" or "victim" is much closer, and I love my admin/personnel guys.

There are two times I need to see them. When I need to see them, and generally speaking, I was treated like it was an inconvenience for them (this was on Quantico, not in the Fleet). I get it. We're all busy. But I don't come to your office to shoot the $^$. It's on the other side of base. I don't come there because I want to. I come there because I need to.

The other time is when S-1/Pers needs me. Then I'm expected to drop everything, because it's of utmost importance, when last week I was told "Do you have an appointment?" Again, I get you have a job to do, and I'm now holding you up. But just because it's personal, doesn't make it important.
