I have found much to my amazement that RP members actually listen to old guys like me,and I am a history nut ,some of the postings on different periods of American history are well researched and interesting, always ready to learn something new,so it's a win win situation for me.

I can keep in touch with other people like me. I've had a rough transition to the civilian mentality and I can talk to people who understand, and of course, if I can help out someone else that is a major bonus.

I use it to keep in touch with old "shipmates", keep up to date with things in "THE NEW NAVY", watch what bases are closing, etc.
A lot of time is for just BS'ing!
Telling "sea stories" or "No $hit" stories!!!!!
