What do you like, and dislike, about being an 89D?

Is there one specific branch with a better program than another? Army Navy Marines and Air Force all seem to have Explosive Ordinance Disposal.

From my short time with the Navy EOD guys, they seem to be more special operations focused and spend more time with SOF units.

As far as school goes you will train with all services. Navy went on to do underwater after everyone else graduated. Services have different rules about coming fresh off the street but that varies from time to time. Army has a phase one that is like 10 weeks before you get to Eglin, FL and the Air Force had a 10 day course. (As of 2011 so if I'm out dated let me know)

I spent my time in army. Had friends in all branches. Was told by several nco's acrost the board. The army goes to the field, so throw it in the air its the air forces problems. If its by water kick it in the water its the navy's problem. And..... send it to new jersy its the marines problame to decommission. Otherwise your on your own " with your safetys help"
