I get all my health care through the VA, my doctor, physiatrist, pills, everything, but not my dental. Dont ask me why, I don't know. So I had to go out and get my own coverage. What a pain in the ass. I found that they are mostly the same, depending on your deductible. All the plans I looked into had waiting periods for the major stuff, the stuff I need done of course. I pay 72. dollars a month and my deductible is nil. I really didn't have a plan on how to go about looking for a dental plan but I finally figured out what I needed.Response by PO2 Michael Martin made Dec 3 at 2019 11:34 AM2019-12-03T11:34:46-05:002019-12-03T11:34:46-05:00PO1 Don Gulizia5313736<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I would prefer to have Delta Dental over Humana, because there would be more dentists available, but your insurance is too expensive. I have 11 choices through Tricare Dental and your insurance is $100 a month more than Humana. As a matter of fact, your coverage is the most expensive of all 11 options. You pay less than Humana in intermediate and major procedures and have a max benefit amount. As long as you charge more for less benefits, I will not choose Delta Dental.Response by PO1 Don Gulizia made Dec 6 at 2019 10:14 AM2019-12-06T10:14:22-05:002019-12-06T10:14:22-05:00CWO3 Private RallyPoint Member5316891<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>A dentist.Response by CWO3 Private RallyPoint Member made Dec 7 at 2019 8:45 AM2019-12-07T08:45:57-05:002019-12-07T08:45:57-05:00SSG Steven Chirco5329307<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Teeth are a lot like your car, routine maintenance can save a ton of money. Routine maintenance keeps you from maybe needing to get those high priced procedures done by keeping your teeth and gums healthy. Worth it to get the 6 month cleanings and check ups and even getting minimal dental insurance.Response by SSG Steven Chirco made Dec 10 at 2019 3:13 PM2019-12-10T15:13:36-05:002019-12-10T15:13:36-05:002019-11-25T12:37:11-05:00
