What do you love about RallyPoint?

I got in a car accident on Tuesday. My new car got pretty roughed up as did I but I am ok. It made me think about things and people I am thankful for. RallyPoint was foremost next to my loved ones. I love many of the people on here and come to call many close or dear friends.
I'm grateful to meet @SSG V Michelle Woods to meet her and hang out in DC last summer. @CPl Brett Wagner for showing me how much my old alma mater had changed. I'm especially grateful to CW3 Private RallyPoint Member for being a wonderful friend and keeping me out of jail when I wanted to commit assault on a coworker and checking on me after my accident, PO1 Private RallyPoint Member and SSG Private RallyPoint Member for looking out for me on my multiple road trips back and forth from DC to Chicago last November and December and for listening to me rant. SSgt Private RallyPoint Member, 1LT L S, SFC James Sczymanski, SGM Private RallyPoint Member, SFC Peter Cyprian for being wonderful to me. CPT Private RallyPoint Member for his kindness to my daughter - She loved the note and bracelet. I'm posting pictures. Thank you all for your kindness to me and for sharing the laughter and tears. Love you guys!!

Glad to hear you are okay after your accident, PV2 Private RallyPoint Member.

I enjoy the camaraderie here on RallyPoint and the exchange of opinions, even if I disagree with some of them. One of the things I enjoy here very much is how much I have learned. People have recommended books. I've seen people who are having a tough go of it, and that always makes me stop and count my blessings - whether it's in person or online.

Most of all, I enjoy the connectedness I feel with SMs, vets, and retirees here on RallyPoint. Of course I'm not best buds with many, but I do feel connected, and that's entirely because of RallyPoint.

This is a place to connect with people with common experiences and shared bond thru military service. While not knowing people in the traditional sense, where I am introduced face-to-face, RallyPoint has enabled me to meet new folks, and share my experiences. It has also enabled me to connect with individuals to understand their needs, which as a member of the VFW/American Legion I think it is important to understand all Veteran's and Service Members needs. I believe the VFW/American Legion have a dated approach to meeting Veteran's needs, but with RallyPoint I can bring these needs back to these organizations with the goal of adjusting their priorities.

PV2 Private RallyPoint Member has made this an enjoyable experience with great topics here and quite a few calls. Will catch up once I visit my dad's grave at Arlington....

I like the conversation between the Vets and the SMs.

I can say that this is a great place to meet new friend. I love the ability to network. I greatly enjoy meeting new people and mentoring. This really caters to my joys in life. I am glad I can be a part of such a great place. PV2 Private RallyPoint Member I am glad she liked it.

What's not to love? The stimulating conversations, The people who are more like true brothers and sisters than anyone, the bonding, sharing of memories and "war" stories the intellectual topics of discussions!!

Lisa, I'm very glad you are ok and there are no serious injuries. What I love about RP is the camaraderie and the friends I've made. Some are turning in to close friends I wish I could meet and share stories and have a beer or coffee. I'm really glad I stumbled on to RP.

PV2 Lisa Wilcox, So glad you are ok. Car accidents can be bad how I know that one. But am so grateful you have not mentioned any serious long affects from it. What a blessing. Odd this question has come up My daughter and I was talking on the phone just last night and she mom you are sounding a bit better the last two times we have talked whats up do they have you on a new Medication? I said well this one I don't have to swallow as a pill. It is called RallyPoint she said is the what the blue RP ribbon was you shared on facebook. I said yep. I have a new family and would be so totally lost without them they are helping me like my service dog does. Love you all thanks for being here

The level of respect that is shown, not due to rank but due to the brother and sisterhood of what this organization was all about.

I was invited to speak at the first RallyPoint For Industry event last week where I met some great folks from all over the country. Many were vets that were involved in hiring vets for large companies. I also got to meet and interact with Yinon Weiss and some of the RP staff. Wow - can't say enough about how great they are!! I was made to feel more at home and comfortable there than at my own job.

Believe me when I say it, the RP staff is the real deal!

Until the schools decide to make a change for this freedom of gender expression, I say no to the sharing of bathrooms until a resolution can be found. Continue to use sex assigned boys restroom, and vise versa for females. With this becoming the new norm, wondering what is public establishment's such as restaurants, and shopping malls plan to address this issue.
