What do you make of the odd phenomenon of the Trump Bump?

Donald Trump’s unlikely surge in some recent polls that puts him among the front-runners in a very crowded GOP field? To begin with, these early poll numbers don’t mean much. Of course Trump stands out among 17 Republican presidential candidates, most of them not well known except among political news hounds, and some of them not even there. (Stand back, everyone, Jim Gilmore just jumped in!) By contrast, for decades Donald Trump has been in the newspapers and on television and had his name emblazoned in gaudy, shiny letters on tall buildings. Notoriety alone gives him an early advantage with voters.

SGT (Join to see) I'm in a wait mode to see where he is 6 months from now. I'm looking for someone who will defeat Hillary soundly on the Republican side. I'm still looking, waiting, and watching!

SGT (Join to see) He definitely speaks his mind and I like that - we need a leader that isn't afraid to "tell the truth". My only concern I don't think the everyone will take him serious, but I thought the same thing about Ronald Reagan and look how he turned out. I'm still in the wait and see mode.

COL Mikel J. Burroughs, If he doesn't do anything else, he keeps it exciting. I'm excited to see what else he has to say. He's so " I don't care what you think".

I listened to him last night on the O'Riley (sp) show. He's really convinced he's going to be the next POTUS. He continually referred to his rating in the polls. I don't know if he realizes those points don't mean anything right now, or if he's that hard headed it doesn't matter to him.

SGT (Join to see) He is definitely trying to put a positive spin on anything he can to gain recognition. Time will tell! At least its making the election year interesting for me.

Love him or hate him, he is saying the things that resonate with American Citizens. He is saying the things that RINO's conveniently leave out of the public speeches, because they are afraid of the PC police.

Trump is a consummate showman, and has made feints at running for president before, but lacked seriousness and staying power. Also, he has supported more Democrat than Republican candidates in the past - and he is good friends with Bill and Hillary in particular.
One suspects that Trump may be trying to divide the GOP vote like Perot did. Lately he has even been talking about running on a third Party ticket.
Trump looks more to me like a "spoiler" than a serious candidate.
Just my opinion.

He may be Capt Seid Waddell, but he's not showing his hand just yet. He's a weird dude.
