What do you think about coach K (Krzyzewski) calling out President Obama?

I'm a fan of Coach K, and I'm glad Duke won the NCAA tournament. Good on him and his players! I learned recently that he's a USMA grad and that he coached at West Point when he started off. Again, I'm a fan of Coach K.

Last I checked we still have a first amendment. Let's see if he gets audited by the IRS now and then we can see what kind of country we have.

Here is how I see it, if some one claims they want to commit service members to fight ISIS, let them the first ones to go or send their own adult age children. Leave me out of this fight. I am not here to pay for the mistakes of my chain of command. It was a political promise to the American people that was ill promised to end the war in Iraq. As a leader, you do not get your troops to solve your mistakes. No, not my fight anymore.

@SSGT Brad Ball I don't see the part in the article where Obama reacts. (stunned or not at all) This is just puffery by the americanprosperity website to generate traffic and it works.

Coach K is speaking out about the statements 'no boots on the ground' which as a Service member and a Veteran and inexplicable to me. This can only be political pandering to the left. So their is no accusation, it is just reflecting a factual statement.
It is why many people are frustrated with Obama as a 'leader', precisely because he is not one.

When it is someone as famous as Coach K uses his first amendment right, the comment will be noted.

Regarding the statement about Coach K, "And even though he is no politician, he’s still uniquely qualified to speak on issues of foreign policy because of his brilliance as a basketball strategist (and because of his time spent in the military)."

I don't think being a brilliant basketball strategist really qualifies you to speak on foreign or military affairs. Neither does a few years in Vietnam.

Foreign policy and the President saying we aren't going to be putting "boots on the ground" is a great big game where the only real rules are that there aren't any rules - it's called politics. The President said "no boots on the ground," and yet just the other day, our non-"boots on the ground" are telling us about the disrepair of the Iraqi forces - from the ground. Part of any strategy is deception - saying you aren't going to do something you may do is just a part of deception as saying you are going to do something and then not do it.

As for the final comment about the President spending more time fixing the economy rather than filling out a bracket, does anyone want to look at any of the economic indicators for the country today? (Yes, I realize the comment was in 2009 when the economy was in shambles... looks like the President is able to both fill out a bracket AND strengthen the economy.)

I didn't see anything in this article about the President's "stunned" response or indication of "stunning." Did I miss that? Somehow, I think the President could not care less about what Coach K thinks about his political and military strategy in regards to ISIS.

This article is little more than a college newspaper sports story with a hyperbolic headline.
