Growing up in the Mississippi the waters get rough in the Iowa/Wisconsin area from under currents and big barges but I think he has a good shot! Once he gets past the Lacosse area the current should let up some on him. Let's just hope the cold waters don't set in before he gets there and he can accomplish the mission! I hope he's swimming downstream. I'll echo the sentiment I heard from several other members: I hope he is up to date on vaccinations and is wearing a wetsuit. The Mighty Mississippi is one dirty river. Best of luck to Chris Ring on his journey. When he reaches New Orleans, I'll have to go down to watch him in action. At that point, he'll be very close to the end of his LONG swim. I have faith in him.
