What do you think about non-VA/DoD PTSD support options?

I'm for it! As long as the program is done in such a way where the Veteran is taken care of, I don't care if it is ran by the VA, the DoD, a civilian doctor or Roger the Rabbit. The important thing is is that the treatment leads to a Veteran receiving the support and care he or she needs and that the Veteran is set up for success.

These are needed. I went and got certified on how to lead Guided Meditations once I saw how well it had improved my quality of life. I'm all for no traditional therapies as well, medication is a bandaid, it doesn't fix the issue just allows you to "deal" with them better. There are better ways, we have been fighting wars and taking care of soldiers since the dawn of time...pills aren't the best way.

Not only do I wish these options were available, I also wish that entry/process was simple, the program consisted of more patient involvement than "just being there", the option itself was a choice, and that non-VA/DOD PTSD Agencies were partnered effectively with the VA/DOD... Yeah, I know... Wishful thinking...
