According to Section 914 of the FY15 National Defense Authorization Act (P.L. 113-291) you are required to book your lodging through DTS in several pilot areas CONUS. I have already started using this feature.

I'm guessing the next logical step is to require choosing hotels that are less than per diem. You're already supposed to select the discounted contract carrier flights when available.

As long as it's a roof over my head and a clean bed, I won't mind much.
