I can't respond with certainty but I know just enough to suspect that the sailor is correct, that President Obama used him as a deflection from the scandal threatening Hillary and his legacy

Raymond as Bob Dylan once said, "The times, they are a chaining" I am not saying the Clintons are the only ones but that family has done so much for personal gain to the harm of this great Nation

LTC Jeff Shearer - Well, no he didn't. The deal was worth about $4M, for two reactors that didn't produce fissionable by-products, in exchange for NK shutting down their reactor that did. NK already had enough weapons grade material to produce a weapon or two, and the hope was that they wouldn't go any further in pursuing nuclear weapons.....The picture, by the way, is from 2009, when Clinton was in NK to broker a deal releasing some Americans from prison.

The sailor took an "unclassified photo" IN a secure area disclosing or compromising ZERO secrets and got a year in jail???? And Hildebeast got what????? The Democrat Nomination. Pathetic that we still try to describe ourselves as a nation of laws.

Pardons are an Executive Power. Its his privilege to use them as he sees fit. He doesn't have to give cause, let alone good good cause.

1stSgt Nelson Kerr - Not at all. But it's his decision to make. We invested that Power in him, for good or bad.

In the grand scheme of things, his ability to pardon is a "nothing." It changes my and the American People's day to day live's in no way.

He has much more dangerous Powers (that have appropriate checks & balances) which I am far more vocal about, because I have the ability to do something about them. As it stands, there is literally nothing I can do if the President decides he is going to pardon someone. The act is done.

It is his decsion to make, but in making this particular perfectly legal decision he shows that he is a jackass, not a criminal just a jackass,

1stSgt Nelson Kerr - No. It shows that he exercised a Power to make a Subjective decision, which you are in turn making an ad hominem attack about him for.

I've got plenty to dislike regarding the current and previous administrations, but I don't actually know the President, so am not going to call him a jackass until I do. I will say he needs to stay off twitter though.

COL what he did was stupid but thats all it was a stupid decision. The President made a good decision, in my opinion. However, there are several that need to hunted down and given the bat until their time is up here on earth.

1stSgt Nelson Kerr - It was a felony. And he did his time. Were you this upset when Obama commuted Bradley Manning?
