I think Starbucks should keep their traditional holiday cups and offer these new plain cups... Why can't they offer both?
PC is taking over everything....and I for one am sick and tired of it.
What say you?

Doesn't bother me a bit. I buy the cheapest ground coffee for my percolator (about $7.99). Lasts me about six weeks. Tastes way better than Starbucks. But if one finds offense in the absence of a holiday message on their coffee cups they can either 1.) join me in a cup of real coffee, or 2.) write their own message on their cup. If you feel really compelled, tell the clerk you name is "Merry Christmas" when placing your order --that way they'll have to write "Merry Christmas" on you cup.

Capt Mark Strobl for most of us it's the HOLIDAY SPIRIT and for those like myself who've been drinking STARBUCKS since Starbucks became Starbucks and we are used to certain things, then all of the sudden with no warning they change it, well it takes the joy out of it...
then there are people like yourself...and my dad who don't really care and doesn't mean anything to you...you are only interested in what you consider a GOOD CUP OF Java/mud/Joe....
I think that Starbucks should offer the traditional cups they've offered for YEARS and then offer these cups.
Is that too much to ask for?

Sgt Kelli Mays - What?! I think I mis-read your comment. While I don't care what my cup reads, I do care about Christmas! I just don't find anything seasonal about my coffee cup (or my coffee, for that matter). Maybe Starbucks cut the seasonal cups in order to save money in printing? Maybe they can employ one or two more folks with the savings? Or maybe, they just caved to non-Christian fundamentalists? Either way, this is a first-world problem.

Capt Mark Strobl - ok, this is twice last night I mess read someones post. So sorry...Nope, it's definitely giving in to non-christian fundamentalists....and this is why I'm making a big deal of this.

I really don't care. Starbucks is overpriced coffee that I don't drink anyways

I could care less what Starbucks does with their coffee cups....Really, what does it matter? People who are concerned with their Starbucks cups need to get a life...
