What do you think the possibility is that Republicans will resort to the Nuclear Option if Democrats continue to fillbuster President Trumps SCOTUS and Cabinet picks?

Democrats already changed the Senate Rules when they had the majority to stuff the lower courts with their picks by majority vote only. So only the SCOTUS pick rule remains to be changed. Democrats confirmed the nominee for lower court by easy voice vote so opposing him now will cost them the 2/3 vote option on all future votes.

The GOP will attempt a floor vote to put pressure on Red State Dems to vote for the nomination or face the consequences of it being used against them in the mid-term campaign. Dems must defend 18 seats.
If they vote against, it becomes campaign material and then McConnell will recend the filibuster rule for purposes of nomination and reconciliation, just like the Democrats.

I think it's possible, perhaps likely, that enough Democrats will vote for Gorsuch that the nuclear option (what a name!) won't be necessary. But watch the fireworks during the next SCOTUS nomination! THAT'S going to be a helluva show, and probably nuclear.

I would say if it comes to that 100% The Democrats changed the rules and used them to their advantage when they were the majority so they will have little to complain about ... not that they will not.

Given the Senate Democrats response of "fight back now on everything, no matter what it is" in the last few days, and their failing to attend voting maneuvers yesterday, it may be the only response to Democrat stalling. I expect to see mushrooms clouds over Washington on a weekly basis, starting in the near future, and it will be the D's fault it's occurring.

Harry Reid left it on the table, I guess it will all be tied to the Dem resistance. If the Dems resist hard enough then they will get the nuclear option, and a taste of their own medicine.

Depends what cases are in the queue. Cases not requiring all of the justices to render an opine, may get assigned by CJ Roberts while those waiting the full attention of the Supreme Court may wait. If it needs a tip in the scales, Republicans will exercise their option to push thru the confirmation.
