I was asked this question by an old teacher of mine. Really think it through. A few others said, "Paris Bombings. Nepal Earthquake." To you, what really made 2015 stand out?

That drowned little Syrian boy washing up on the shore in Greece.

I will certainly say that there are so many aspects that make this year stand out, I will just say that this was the year of violent stupidity.
