Unit?
When I was a 19D I came across some random assignments scattered throughout the Army (like 1 19D3O at Ft Leonard Wood - no clue), this seems to be like that. Yes instructors are E6, Drills are 5/6 but you'd know if it was Drill. It may be as a training support Soldier. Sort of behind the scenes to help with ranges, inventory, vehicles (probably vehicles!) to take some work off the instructors.

It may be a crap job. You may be having long days and 0 credit for your work. Take Benning for what it's worth!!! Fight to go to Advanced Situational Awareness and Army Recon Course, then RSLC once you make 5, this way when you leave Benning to take over a Team at the next station you are still on top of the game. We had R&U details that performed grounds maintenance, range cadre that maintained and operated ranges for trainees, vehicle crews that performed 10 level maintenance on vehicles. As SFC Boyd said: you really won’t know until you report. The UIC you are reporting to can give you a general idea of which unit is expecting you. Have you received any sort of correspondence from your sponsor? Benning is now the Maneuver Center of Excellence, with Basic and Leadership schools for Infantry and Armor. You will probably be in a support position for trainees or leadership school attendees. It’s cool but sucks at the same time. It’s totally changed since I was there, it’s committee based now. Long story short, you’ll probably run errands. The cool part of it is you’ll be forced to go to schools. With budgets being constricted in the big army, they won’t have money to send anyone to schools. So you’ll get pulled to maintain the schools budget allotments. Hope this helps. Typically, E4's are not instructors. So Hopefully, you're not stuck in 1-16Cav. 5/15 is the lesser of the two evils. Stay in shape, take some classes and PCS when your time is up. Soldiers get in trouble at TRADOC for some reason. I guess its because they're not in a "real" combat unit. Then again Soldiers get in trouble there too.
