What does it mean when your orders get amended?

Had a report date for next week but got in trouble and flagged. (Alcohol related)
My flag will lift off as soon as my BC gives me a GOMOR.
Had my orders amended and just wanted to know what this meant?

Read the amended orders and it will say what is amended

The ammendment can be a couple of things, you have to look at them. There a few options the command has, however the Army at the next board will likely QMP you. Based on the type and severity of the alcohol incident will determine your fate. Your BC does not issue a GOMOR, that is a letter from a General Officer.

If you're flagged for alcohol related reasons (i.e., Flag code A), then you're prohibited (except in a few cases) of being reassigned until the flag is lifted. Suggest you read up on AR 600-8-2* (especially paragraphs 2-8 and 3-1) and become familiar with the impacts the flag will cause you.

1. Flagged mean's 0/NO personnel actions will be taken until resolved. So once it is resolved and the flag lifted, HRC will decide to change your report date, or cancel your orders.

Generally, and I am guessing that this has not changed since I retired, but the first or second paragraph after you get past that who you are and where you are rubbish might tell you old boy!
