Everywhere I go or live I proudly display the colors or take a picture. Why, because people gave their life for others to display their freedom those who choose not to stand for the anthem of the United States your welcome.

She's not the prettiest gal on the standard, but by God she's the most principled, the one that represents principles that I'd fight and die for. Sadly, most Americans won't understand that sentiment. Not only have schools stopped teaching those principles, they've begun to teach our children to revile them. Still, I'll cling to her and none other and pray that our children find their way back.

SFC Stephen King At my house, I fly the American and Marine Corps flags because I am proud to be an American. The flag is a symbol that reminds us of the sacrifices made by our brothers and sisters. My father died in service of his country, along with friends in Vietnam. I will never forget.

To me, it represents the only place I know of where a citizen is more or less allowed to live their life regardless of what they think or believe; where they are a relatively free person and not owned by the government or having to watch their back for every little thing they say or do.

A relatively united country as well, rather than simply familial, tribal, or regional affiliations. A place where people will pull together and help one another regardless of those factors as well.

My stance is controversial even among military. It is simple - disrespect my flag or anthem I will react violently. It is not a 1st Amendment issue no matter what the courts decreed to cater to non patriotic individuals such as socialists. Do not disrespect he symbols of the country which gives you the very freedom to decide on whether you wish to love or hate her.
