I have completed the JOPES Support Personnel Course and the JOPES Action Officer Course which gets you the "N". Where are the jobs where I can use it?

SSG Scott Leenerts since JOPES is mainly used in Transportation and has no use to a 42A in how we do our job (unlike Battle Staff, Postal, Executive Assistance, Force Management, Master Resilience, etc...) it's not going to do much for you. Try to take course that will enable you to become well rounded. JOPES is too specific, it's like getting ACE certified as a welder, how will that help you as a 42A? I'm in 595th Trans Bde now and I can tell you that I have no use for JOPES as the S1 NCOIC. If your looking to work outside your MOS or change your PMOS to CMF 88 it might be helpful. Just not seeing it as "promotion" helpful.
I was under the impression the course was hosted by the Joint Forces Staff College at Norfolk VA. I see its run out of Ft. Eustis.
I've never attended the course but as a 25-series I held two jobs that were tagged with the N SQI on the joint manning document. As alluded to, the course covers joint planning. It's a good course if you are anywhere involved with joint exercises and plans.
One job because I periodically reviewed CONPLANS, OPLANS, and participated in JMSEL development for the execution of joint exercises. The other job, as a JTF J-6 JSME, required that I understand joint plans, exercises, and orders during operations.

Never heard of the course until now. My branch has a position with that identifier. How do I take that course and where is it located. Any easy info where I don't have to fumble through ATRRS?

The course is not in ATRRS, It is found through the Joint Deployment Training Center (JDTC)website. You must complete the JSPC and JAOC to get the SQI. The courses are done through Resident (at Ft Eustis) and MTT formats. While you are there try to take the JCRM course also
CSM Carl Cunningham
And roger. Did you need a justification to get in? I am not sure how full the classes are.
