What does the typical day-to-day work look like for 92L, 68U or 88K?

I'm looking for what the day to day work looks like for these. I'm going back in so trying to chose an MOS.

I'm an 88K for now, it's a busy MOS. Typical day consists of keeping the boat in shape for missions through pmcs, typical equipment maintenance. When you're on mission, things are totally different, do underway watches, usually 4 hours at a time. Very chill job and highly recommended. Depending on your unit, you will have missions to Caribbean, South America, etc...

Cathy - 68U would be a good MOS. You'll make decent money once out of the military and its a better career. Working around petroleum is really a nasty, dirty job. Watercraft sounds interesting, but how well is the pay once out of the military? Perhaps if you work for some tourist sports camp you might make good money, otherwise that's doubtful. Choose well, choose something that's going to support you career wise once out of the military.

SPC Goessman, I am a 68U. Usually, you work in the clinic assisting the ENT doctor (screening, booking appts, etc), but also you can be assign to a hearing conservation clinic (hearing examinations). A typical rotation is @ 3 yrs. Making SGT is easy, and it is very difficult SSG and above.

Google Army Causeway 331st TC. As an 88K you could potentially be assigned to that unit performing those types of tasks.

88K in port vessel maintenance dirty job but it must be done. Underway is like a vacation unless you hit rough seas! Loved it!

Sorry to get to this a little bit late, but for the 68u aspect here is more so of what your daily procedures would be. Most likely it would be clinical work keeping the rooms clean after every patient taking their vitals and assisting the doctor during appointments. You will clean peoples ears out via suction depending on how lucky you are. You would assist in the operating room as a surgeon tech since we are a specialized field, some procedures in the or are as simple as tube in their ears others can be 16 hours long with taking muscle from the forearm to replace the tongue, and many surgeries that are 1-3 hours long. It isnt just tonsils and tubes. The clinical work you'll be keeping supplies ordered and also cleaning the instruments (pre clean then take to the actually cleaning dep) scopes will be clean and disinfected(this is a very serious thing to do correctly the va had a issue where it wasnt done properly and people contracted aids). You may be responsible for scheduling surgeries(this requires a great understanding of how each surgery your docs do effects the supplies you have ready in the OR) overall this job is a great job but as far as it goes with when I went through the training we arent certified anything on the outside, this clinical and surgical work would be the highlight to this mos as you could also end up giving people hearing tests and do nothing else.
