What duty stations have combat engineering units?

What duty stations are the best, in your opinion, for engineering officers (career advancement/special schools/recreation/proximity to cities)? Is there any type of document or website I haven't found that contains information about which units are stationed where?

It used to be that if you wanted to kick start a successful career, you needed an initial tour in Europe or Korea. (many, many years ago). They wanted to see how you’d perform in an uptempo environment.

With all the engagements on going, finding an up tempo unit won’t be hard. I’d contact the Engineer Advance course (Fort Leonard Wood), and ask them to for career advice.

If you are CAC enabled you can go to FMS web and look for Combat Engineer units by MTOE and UIC. Years ago branch managers used to maintain lists of units by location that had their branch slots in them.

Easier: look at Divisional and Armored Cavalry posts like Bragg, Drum, Irwin, Hood, Korea, Bliss, Polk, Leonard Wood (Engineer Center and School), Campbell, Knox, Riley, Carson, JBLM, US Army EUROPE, hawaii, and Alaska.
