Everyone feels a spirit of Christmas in some form or shape I believe. For some, it's reuniting with long distance families, others, watching movies and decorating house. Some go to school plays and Church performance while others play in the snow (especially if you're north of Mason-Dixie line).

As for me, I'm a servant and I like to reach-out to community, serve dinner, give word of encouragement to sick and ailing, and perform random acts of kindness, not only on Thanksgiving or Christmas, but especially however during holidays.

So what gets you in the Christmas or Holiday spirit? What are you doing for yourself and others to be encouraged? What do you want for Christmas gift? HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Good for you PO1 (Join to see)! If that is not the Holiday Spirit, I don't know what is. Let's see' we start with the annual pilgrimage to the Yankee Candle factory. Then along Comes Turkey Day and watching the Macy's parade followed by putting up the tree on Black Friday and "It's a Wonderful Life" Then it kind of roll right along through New Years.

Can't wait to retire. I'm due to PCS in January to Diego Garcia so I might miss next year holidays with family :-(

I'm stationed in Virginia, so we haven't seen snow yet, last year I didn't see it here until after I got back. When I go home to Wisconsin, I build a snowman with my younger brother. It brings back happy memories. We lost our sister during Christmas time a few years ago, so the happiness is really what we need. All I ever want for Christmas is a happy healthy family. And this year, we will be thinking of my older brother who will be celebrating with his fellow troops, instead of with his family. Sorry to start the responses with a tad bit sad one, but out of our sadness we have found hope.
