Not that this habit has hurt me,but it drives the family absolutely crazy that we must be at least 15 to 30 minutes early for every appointment, meeting or family gathering, and don't get me started on airports or car trips!

MSG. William Cafaro -My wife and kids always say "Dad you were in the Army 50 years ago can't you let go of old habits"and in my mind I answer no!

When I was a JO, being late to the birthday ball, etc. was a no go but invariably my wife would wait until 5 minutes prior to departure to ask me to run to the store and get Leggs Suntan pantyhose. So after that, I bought a 10 pack and kept them in the secret stash. Sure enough, next year same thing. I merely pulled one out of the case, mission solved right? Not much conversation from her that night. You can't win.

CAPT Kevin Ball,PE -I think this falls in line with my theory of all wives being aliens,I swear I was sent on the same errand ,down to the same brand and shade of pantyhose, kinda scarey right, and you are spot on about winning, just had my 45th wedding anniversary and still none in the win column!

Not a habit that hurt me, but I inadvertently killed two people and seriously hurt four others with Knife Hand.

One of the chapters in my book are on How to Use your Knife Hand while Eating.
One can use their knife hand while preparing food, or while enjoying a steak.
One should NOT use their knife hand to stir their iced tea, or coffee.
One should always use a teaspoon for doing such tasks, or if a teaspoon is absent, that person must forego using that teaspoon, and not using their knife hand, because the use of a knife hand for such tasks is uncouth and unseemly.
One must always follow the advice of Mr. Manners*.
*Not married or related to Miss Manners. Mr. Manners is another nom de plume under which I publish my fabulous novels and self help books.

SGT Dave Tracy - Between you and me, SGT, we know that Miss Manners is a skank. Mums the word, though!
