SGT Private RallyPoint Member5629711<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I graduated BLC in January of this year and recieved my 1059 with the MOS 88M1O. The catch is that I have an assignment/transfer order that changed my MOS to 88M2O (and didn't show up in iPerms until this week, despite it going into effect 11/07/2019 and "inputed" 11/25/2019). I was selected in October of last year and all I needed was BLC to be pinned to Sergeant. Will this affect my promotion at all? What happens if my DA 1059 MOS section is wrong?2020-03-05T03:18:03-05:00SGT Private RallyPoint Member5629711<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>I graduated BLC in January of this year and recieved my 1059 with the MOS 88M1O. Because you are promotable, your branch is placing you on this higher position.Response by SGM Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 5 at 2020 3:25 AM2020-03-05T03:25:22-05:002020-03-05T03:25:22-05:00SSG Private RallyPoint Member5629724<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>To be honest, I am a 68W and my BLC 1059 from years ago says 35M. You are currently promotable so the slotting means nothing. Happens all the time.Response by SSG Brian G. made Mar 5 at 2020 3:49 AM2020-03-05T03:49:16-05:002020-03-05T03:49:16-05:00SPC Nancy Greene5629744<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Actually, SPC RYAN Smith, in the Army; a soldier can be assigned to a ‘slot’ two paygrades above or one paygrades below their actual paygrades. I was SPC and first duty station I was in an E6/SSG skit. Second duty station as SP4(P), I was also assigned to E6/SSG slot.<br />Your ‘slot’ was already one paygrades above your current rank, Therefore; your performance was already that of an E5. If you are promotable, it is to your advantage to already be assigned to an E5/SGT position. <br />Also, completing BLC is required for promotion to NCO rank. I would suggest you also complete BNOC & PNOC if you plan to stay on Active Duty. You will NEED these courses fir E6 and you will also need to complete PLC for E6 selection list!<br />Good Luck SPC RYAN Smith!<br />Please inform RP when you are promoted to SGT!Response by SPC Nancy Greene made Mar 5 at 2020 4:15 AM2020-03-05T04:15:45-05:002020-03-05T04:15:45-05:001SG Private RallyPoint Member5629872<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>There is no error, you are a 88M1O. Slightly misconception though, the assignment orders dont make you a 88M2, that's the assignment slot by the MTOE. Your promotion orders will make you a 88M2O.Response by 1SG Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 5 at 2020 5:25 AM2020-03-05T05:25:05-05:002020-03-05T05:25:05-05:00LTC Private RallyPoint Member5630821<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>the only thing that matters on your 1059 is that little statement that says "meets standards"....Response by LTC Private RallyPoint Member made Mar 5 at 2020 9:41 AM2020-03-05T09:41:08-05:002020-03-05T09:41:08-05:00CSM Danny S.5632013<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>If you went to BLC as a SPC/CPL then you were a 10 level soldier.
