If one does the right thing and not actions that warrant an Article 15 in the first place then one has no need to ask this question.

....just sayin. Among other things, getting you info is another part of the gig. If you receive 14 days of extra duty, then for the next 14 days you are doing extra duty. If one, or a couple, of those days the command has nothing for you and tells you to scram then so be it, but you are still going to serve out the 14. This means that they can't do just "business days" though either (making you do extra duty Monday through Friday almost three weeks) it doesn't freeze on weekends. Ok Son wake up and smell the coffee! 1. If you received extra duty from just your PSG, then he is probably trying to save you from an ART 15. If you have received extra duty from an ART 15, then it is just punishment, unless you have talked to JAG and they say it was wrong. But until they contact the CDR, you will do the punishment!. 2. Extra duty is just that and there is no "breaks involved" period, being on extra duty mean YOU are being punished, it goes thru 3 day weekends, holidays, etc. In fact you can /will be denied leave time if under extra duty. They do NOT have to cut you any slack for doing wrong. 3. Another NCO was in the room, so yes there was a witness, who heard both sides of the story, and by right if he thought the PSG was out of bounds, he should have taken higher up the chain of command. He did not. 4. If you thought it was wrong, instead of WHINING to strangers, you should have made your case to your chain of command. Obviously to me at least there is a valid reason why you are an E2 and on extra duty. That isn't the way it is ran in many places.
However, you had best show up for it on whatever days it is scheduled, or something worse than extra duty awaits you.
Closed circuit to the OP - DO NOT SUGGEST THAT YOU SHOULD BE RELIEVED FROM EXTRA DUTY DUE TO THERE BEING A BREAK OF 24 HOURS. If you do, you will surely never see a break like that again. 1SG Private RallyPoint Member Mon, 23 Oct 2017 10:26:24 -0400 2017-10-23T10:26:24-04:00 Response by LCDR Private RallyPoint Member made May 19 at 2018 1:05 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-happens-if-there-is-a-break-in-extra-duty-is-it-true-that-extra-duty-becomes-terminated-after-a-24-hr-period-between-extra-duty-days?n=3642320&urlhash=3642320

Spend more time staying out of trouble and less time trying to get out of things. And circumstances came up where there will be a suspension of my extra duty. If I could I would Request to stay and finish my extra duty. I would want to get a completely done it over with so I can give back to prove into my CO and the rest of my platoon to I am a professional. Don't wanna go back and have to finish up a punishment while everyone else is at the company party or picnic eating hot dogs and hamburgers and drinking beer, And I'm stuck at empty barracks watching the paint dry.
