Put the leeches on you? Strip you down and force you into the wilds of Grand Lakes for 30 days, allowing you back if you survive? They send you to the Treatment facility and you follow a course of treatment. Where ever that leads. The only bad thing is that you might end up staying longer at Great Lakes depending on how long it takes you to recover. There was a guy in my company that joined us about half way through training because he got sick and took too long to recover to simply re-join his original company. Seriously... it's no big deal. Medical gave me some antibiotics and other meds to knock it out and when I got back to my unit I was instructed to pack my belongings and prepare for transfer to the holding unit (319th). Luckily, the next office I stopped in determined that I should be able to recover in short order and sent me back to my bunk. I graduated with my friends and now get to tell the story about how I pushed through basic and graduated with honors despite severe illness. At week 3 I went to sick call, was berated by the drill sergeants for being weak, got some prescriptions from the docs on post and was not given any kind of profile. take your meds, suck it up, do the training and graduate. That's really all you can do. Response by SGT Private RallyPoint Member made Nov 25 at 2019 10:00 PM 2019-11-25T22:00:36-05:00 2019-11-25T22:00:36-05:00 2019-11-16T02:21:00-05:00
