Haha so true. I've woken up to weirder things than I'd ever like to admit. The best story that I know is true (observer not participant) was having a Sailor wake up duct taped to a steel beam about 10 feet in the air.

I don't condone this, but I have to admit it was funny.

I saw a double standard with this. . I saw a LT who was the OOD on the midway check fall asleep leaning against one of the radar on the bridge. . Everyone knew it too. . Nothing happened to him. . But an enlisted person does of on lookout and gets the book thrown at him. . But yeah, you don't want to fall asleep.

RallyPoint Shared Content not completely in the military but, CW2 Private RallyPoint Member and I went to High School together, in an ex-military base. I don't know how, he managed to find enough ladders to lock this guy up in the bottom bump bed. Our beds were like the one in the picture, he placed ladders all around to make it a cage. That was something else!

Another Basic Ft Knox story: they have us holding a perimeter in fighting positions. It's night time. It's MY turn to sleep Honest!
It was my turn. My buddy zonked out too.
OPFOR Drill Sgt crawls in our hole. Has his hands on our mouths. Explains how many ways he will kill us if we move. I flicked my rifle off Safe and starting firing blanks. The battle began.
