I've learned that voluntarily giving up certain freedoms (as we do throughout our military careers) helps us to more fully appreciate those same freedoms.

Prejudices and bigotry significantly hinder an environment that calls for teamwork and trust.
Also MREs...those will teach you to not to waste actual fresh food

Some of the people in this country who like to protest the very thing that gives them the right to protest need to spend a couple of weeks in a third world country and find out how good they have it. Most of them have no clue what it's like

When I was in, everyone of different race or color, we were equals, we were a team, we defended each other, we stuck up for each other, we needed each other, we learned from each other and we taught each other. Your always going to have conflict or disagreement when the crap gets serious, its about us a team. There's no I in Team.

The one thing I think that could help most civilians right now is a favorite saying if mine that I learned from my first platoon sergeant. Suck it up and drive on!
