<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Just wondering what goes on the cat eyes, what color for OCP or UCP helmet cover, and where they go (left ear, right ear, centered). I couldn't find any regulation as to what can be sewed onto them.Sat, 10 Feb 2018 14:19:33 -0500What information is written on the ACH helmet band, and what color should it be?

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Usually unit specific. Commanders can specify undesignated specifications to unaddressed uniform issues with a SOP or memo. also check the DA Pamphlet as well as the regulation. Or get with your NCO support channel to ask the 1SG or CSM.MSG Private RallyPoint MemberSun, 11 Feb 2018 02:45:50 -05002018-02-11T02:45:50-05:00Response by SMSgt Thor Merich made Feb 11 at 2018 12:15 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Its typically unit/division specific. When I was at Carson, we had to have rank, last name, battle roster number (initials and last 4 of your SSN), and blood type. Then you had to have the division and brigade patches on the sides of the helmet cover. As per color, it depends on the pattern. The UCP, you have to have a foliage green band. With the OCP, the cat-eye band is coyote brown.<br /><br />But I've seen units where all they had was last name and blood type with their rank sewn into the front of the helmet cover. So, it varies from place to place.SPC Private RallyPoint MemberMon, 12 Feb 2018 08:20:08 -05002018-02-12T08:20:08-05:00Response by SPC Brent Melton made Mar 11 at 2018 11:24 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>As stated above, you won't find a regulation on it. I collect helmets that have been down range, and they are from every branch of service, but mostly focused on the Army. That being said, I've seen everything on cateyes and located everywhere.<br /><br />Most will have your Name, Blood Type, and Battle Roster Number in varying forms. Some units have guys write them, others have them sewn on the cateyes directly, while others have them sewn a material, then sewn on to the band. Other units don't write anything at all on the cateyes, but that tends to be earlier in OEF/OIF.SPC Brent MeltonSun, 11 Mar 2018 23:24:05 -04002018-03-11T23:24:05-04:00Response by SGM Bill Frazer made Apr 7 at 2018 11:15 AM
