What is 31E AIT like for IET? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-is-31e-ait-like-for-iet <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>My son failed his first AIT (35N) and chose 31E as his reclass MOS. I’m sure it will be quite different from the training environment he has been in where he was in a two-man room and allowed to have a television, coffee maker, microwave and refrigerator. Unfortunately he seems to think that it will be a similar training environment with similar privileges. I would love to get some up-to-date information so that I can share it with him. Thanks in advance. I&#39;m sorry, but at the end of the day, it is on him to ensure that he can successfully complete the training regardless of the environment he is in SSG Private RallyPoint Member Thu, 04 Jun 2020 14:07:27 -0400 2020-06-04T14:07:27-04:00 Response by SGM Bill Frazer made Jun 4 at 2020 4:32 PM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-is-31e-ait-like-for-iet?n=5969843&urlhash=5969843 <div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>If he failed his MOS-Q, he can pick anything He wants, BUT the Army will send him to ANY MOS-Q course they need at the time. Be it FA,IN, underwater messkit repair, etc.. As for the environment- it will depend on what MOS they put him in. Then social distance happened so it was 5 per room. So it’s nothing the same as where he came from. They do let up a little bit, you’re not allowed to keep your phone but a couple hours on sundays. And eventually to get passes where you can go out and do stuff. Phones permitted the last two/three weeks, for certain hours. Passes on weekends possibly. Tell him to expect an extended Basic Training session. It&#39;s not bad. Just 6 weeks.
