They also have as their secondary duties, tasks that are the primary duties of Cavalry and Engineers<br />For Cavalry METL secondaries they do guide, clearance and out-posting (for security) of routes.<br />In Engineer METL secondaries they do bridge, passage point, target and brigandage security.<br />Hope this helps. They operate our military confinement facilities, and act as technical advisors on establishing and operating detainee facilities when deployed. 31B is a largest group doing the main missions of the Military Police Regiment - Maneuver and mobility support operations (reconnaissance and surveillance), Area security operations (site security and response), Law &amp; order operations (law enforcement and developing host-nation police forces), Internment/resettlement operations (military prisoners and enemy combatants), and Police intelligence operations.
