Most AG guys can see through the fluff and if you are not already on a stateside assignment and you are not in a low density MOS where the replacement is inbound chances are any reason will be sufficient. Unless your purpose of being there is to fill some critical role, anything you write is fluff. The strengths manager doesn&#39;t care what you have to say and isn&#39;t choosing people who get to COT based on their essay. To be honest, you don&#39;t even need a memo, that&#39;s just some crap that some middle man added. HRC needs a 4187 that says you request a COT.
