Logisticians and Contracting Officers, does anyone have good sources to procure law enforcement equipment specifically items like gas masks and riot helmets? I know of and have used Galls and GSA Advantage.

Thanks a bunch.

SARRS or contract?  Masks are pretty standard, but are MTOE items.  For civilian items like riot shields, there are a lot of sites that make clip ons for the helmets, and most of the online police suppliers.  With all contracts, remember that it isn't the brand you get to request, but the capability.

The funding source matters as well.  DoD instructions are to use NSN items as much as possible.  For that, I'd go to any MP BN HQ and ask them for the NSN

1SG, thank you for the response. I should have clarified my initial question. I am looking for outside vendors, not within the military system itself (SARSS).

SSG Redondo, I have a old soldier who use to work for me and is now stationed in a MP unit there at Ft. Hood, hit me up off line when you have a chance and I can try to get you two connected.

I would suggest checking with the III Corps G3 as they are the ones that do many of the 89th MP BDEs external special order items for their joint service and multi-agency training exercises, so they should be able to give you some good companies to go with or even help with the actual procurement or purchase as well, you never know until you ask right.

Good luck.
