I am curious as to what Active Duty life as an MP Officer would be like, such as BOLC, a PL, your experiences? Chances for deployment or advancement?

Thanks all What is active duty life like as an MP Officer (e.g. BOLC, PL, experiences, etc.)? I wanted to stay Engineer as I was a 12B enlisted. That said I truly enjoyed being an MP and I was in the minority as the vast majority of MP officers had MP as their first pick.
Times change but I spent about half my time as a company grade officer deployed so yes you should have an opportunity to do that.

If you love the field you will like being an MP IMHO. MP units have a lot of firepower and you will get lots of time at the range. I like to shoot so I enjoy that.

Another benefit is the Law Enforcement Officer Safety Act LEODA. MPs are now federal LEOs under LEOSA so you will have the opportunity to get a credential and carry off duty in all 50 states.

If you have any follow up questions shoot me a friend request and message. It was pretty fun looking back on it but can be stressful at times. The most stressful time for me was writing OPORDs. For us there was a lot of death by power point. Lot of time in the classroom. But we did have our share of fun in the field. if you have been OC before take your certification and you won’t have to do it again.
Other then that dude just have fun and enjoy it. There is a little bar down by a bridge in the Devils Elbow we went to every week. They should still have a plaque from our class. They have the best BBQ sandwich’s and tater tots.
