<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Pay attention to what your instructors at FIRES school tell you and you will be just fine. If you are good at PT you will have an extended time on post pass both weekdays and weekends. Utilize this time wisely, get your extra workouts in, and be thankful for the extra time you will get. If you work hard and stay disciplined in and out of the classes, there is no reason you can’t excel. Shoot for honor graduate because everyone says it does not matter, although it gives a better overall first impression to your NCO’s as they evaluate your commitment, and attention to detail. I enjoyed PT, pushing myself in learning soldier tasks/drills, and putting shots down range. If that’s the type of person that you are, you will begin to debate your choice in MOS. Although as always keep focus. Show up in the right place, at the right time, in the right uniform, and do the right thing. It’s that easy.PFC Private RallyPoint MemberFri, 03 Jan 2020 16:47:51 -05002020-01-03T16:47:51-05:00Response by SFC Private RallyPoint Member made Jan 13 at 2020 6:58 PM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>Im a 13M AIT Instructor. Your course will be 5 weeks long. Most of the instruction will be hands on training. Learning how do preventive maintainance checks and services and 4 different vehicles. You will be tested on different checks. Just like any army course there will be power point/ classroom blocks of instruction. Most of your training will be learning how to use two different crane systems for launcher pod container emplacement (rockets/missles). This course isn't hard if your a hands on learning and you can follow directions. Make sure you come to AIT ready to pass a APFT. Any other questions just ask.SFC Private RallyPoint MemberMon, 13 Jan 2020 18:58:57 -05002020-01-13T18:58:57-05:00Response by SSG Fritzner Saint Valliere made Feb 13 at 2020 7:31 AM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>From my personal opinion and experience having been a 13B and currently a 13M, when I was coming back in I should have chosen 13B coming back in. I went through when it was OSUT 13B so it was an awesome experience and first duty station was 10th Mountain Division which one of the best duty stations I ever had.SSG Dennis MendozaWed, 25 Mar 2020 02:47:35 -04002020-03-25T02:47:35-04:00Response by SPC Stacey Miller made Apr 26 at 2020 12:42 AM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>As a guy that got out for 5 years and changed MOS’s when I came back to a 13M, it’s not hard at all. Pay attention to your instructors. Be on time. Do the work. Be proactive in your training. You’ll be just fine.SPC Stacey MillerSun, 26 Apr 2020 00:42:33 -04002020-04-26T00:42:33-04:00Response by SPC Joshua Lickey made Mar 11 at 2021 6:22 AM

<div class="images-v2-count-0"></div>In 2000 when I went through AIT it was a blast. I guess I was lucky cuz I was already very athletic so I was always in the top 5% and it seemed like in both basic and AIT, the top 10% were always rewarded with something special. In basic training I was one of a select few who got to go watch the fireworks on post for the 4th at Ft Benning GA and during AIT I was blessed to attend a Reba McEntire concert. So what I’m saying is excel at everything you do, stay awake in the classroom to prevent doing doing bear craws and wall sits lol, and make friends with people who challenge you and encourage you. Not the ones who keep your from excelling.SPC Joshua LickeyThu, 11 Mar 2021 06:22:26 -05002021-03-11T06:22:26-05:002019-12-31T05:51:06-05:00
