What is AIT like for a 42A?

What should I prepare for? Any tips? I will
Start October 28th. Can you have cell phones or weekend passes?

Based on having served in the Reserves from 2000-2013 I’m pretty sure you get your weekends off during AIT with exceptions of course. Passes off Ft Jackson during the day possible on a weekend. I’ll let others with more current information provide answers. Cell phones I’m sure are allowed during off duty hours just don’t blow the privledges authorized! Good luck.

Prepare to be sleepy during class, you do have weekend passes, you also have offpost passes during gold phase, you get to wear your civilians during this phase too
