What is allowed regarding the use of non-CIF issued gloves while in uniform?

So I'm curious what the exact regulation is on commercial or non issued gloves for use with the army combat uniform, (ucp or ocp)

If the zipper is the problem, just use the gloves you were issued.

I’ve never had any issues wearing non cif issue gloves as long as they’re all black. I’ve even seen some wear “mechanix” Gloves in the ocp Pattern.

The reg state you must have only Issued or authorized items. With that being said - in a field environment- unless it's a safety issue, as long as something worked as well nobody said much. But your immediate supervisor better ok them- and if they get trashed- it's your dime.

Its really a non-issue as long as they are black or ACU patterned then you should be good to go. Usually only at schools (e.g NCOES) does it have to be strictly the issued gloves.
