AGR personnel are government employees who wear the uniform to work all week and are part of the Reserve Component unit in which they work. They usually have jobs that keep the unit “alive” when no Reservists are around. An active duty tour means you will become part of the active component for a specific period of time. You’ll be assigned to an active duty unit and specific job Lt Col Jim Coe Sun, 27 Sep 2020 09:19:10 -0400 2020-09-27T09:19:10-04:00 Response by MAJ Private RallyPoint Member made Sep 27 at 2020 11:36 AM https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-is-an-active-duty-tour-can-a-reserve-recruiter-recruit-and-assist-in-the-process-of-putting-a-reservist-on-an-active-duty-tour?n=6349842&urlhash=6349842

The only active tour for reserves that I'm familiar with is ADOS or deployment - this could be done attached to an active duty unit.
Recruiters/retention can assist with transferring from reserve to active duty.
Like LT COL Coe stated, AGR is a full time employment position. You have to apply and be selected. This is not a tour. MAJ Private RallyPoint Member Sun, 27 Sep 2020 11:36:36 -0400 2020-09-27T11:36:36-04:00 2020-09-27T08:33:05-04:00
