SGT W. Slagle I personally carry a knife on me everywhere. Never know when you will need one, realistically. At home I have an array of knives, daggers, swords and guns. And I know how to use them all. Oh and I don't fire warning shots.... :D

PO1 (Join to see) Army Strong taught me a lot. Stationed in Germany you were Not allowed to have a weapon. But ee had empty mags in our M-16 in the field. Yes I had 3 knives there they only knew about 1

PO1 (Join to see) - Load? You're carrying an unloaded weapon? You may as well be carrying around a baseball bat.

No one can get past my 2 attack cats. If they do, they have to get past my ninja wife.

LCDR Rabbah Rona Matlow - I had one of those attack cats once. I didn't know it till one day somebody snuck up behind me while I had my head in the Trunk of the car. All I can say is damn it was bloody.

I can vouch for the effectiveness of a ninja wife. For myself, my preferred home defense weapon is a steel cane with a hooked/sharp handle that is effective at a bit over arms reach. If you are in my home, you are likely to be within arm's reach or damned close to it. I do have other weapons, of course, but I like the up close and personal touch.

I've got two hound dogs who bark like crazy, and exterior lights and an alarm system. Anyone who gets past that has to deal with my wife, and she is formidable. Really...

I have a H&K USP .45, a Beretta 92FS, a pump, and Michelle my trusty Sig Saur AR-15. Should someone decide to break in, I know for a fact I have more ammo than they have time left on earth. To carry, I like both of my handguns, with a slight edge to the 92FS. It's small, light, easier to conceal if I choose to go that way. The .45 gets attention but it's heavy and I like my pants ON my waist, not hanging down like their sagging.

SrA J. Anthony Acker - You should check out CCWSafe.com for, in my opinion, a better choice in insurance. the main differance I like is that USCCA only covers your lawyer up to 250k then your on your own. CCW Safe has no limit for either criminal or civil cases and that includes appeals if you happin to be convicted. I am currently a member of USCCA but will be switching when my membership expires. Just food for thought.
