It&#39;s a pretty part of the country aesthetics wise. Watertown, while not wonderful, is definitely a little nicer than most shit-holes that are outside of military bases (I&#39;m looking at you Killeen and Columbus). Great units with a lot of history, if that matters to you. Tons of snow. Black flies biting in the summer. It really is a beautiful place though. Homes built on the islands in the waterway. Trees and green everywhere. I live in the high desert and miss the fishing and hunting in Herkimer county. Spring and fall are short, maybe a month each, and the weather is confused during those times. It’s a little bit out in the middle of nowhere, but most anything you could need or want is a 30 minute drive or less. There’s all kinds of cool outdoor stuff to do.
