You lose the conventional experience that makes you valuable. Go there for three years, then go do your broadening assignment, then return as an E7.<br />If you&#39;re going to the 160th or 75th you&#39;ll love it and want to stay until you have to leave to get promoted. The difference is that in the 160th or 75th you ARE a Night stalker or Ranger. In SF Command you are support; there&#39;s a very clear line between SF and SF Support, you even wear a different beret.<br />They&#39;re all good assignments. If I had it to do all over again I would go to the 75th again or to 160th and then down the road as an E7 go to an SF Command assignment or JSOC.
