Your personal information is collected and sold anytime you do anything online. Smart phones/computers can be manipulated to remotely turn on the mic or camera or remotely install/run malware. Then you have the Telcom's collecting and passing personal info to the alphabet agencies.

So Security is most important by default, since Privacy doesn't really exist anymore. Call me a pessimist. :) Response by PO1 Brian Austin made Nov 19 at 2016 2:26 PM 2016-11-19T14:26:25-05:00 2016-11-19T14:26:25-05:00 SPC Erich Guenther 2090677

If war is declared.....National Security. If privacy is eliminated for national security, there will be no need for national security. Privacy equals trust. No citizens, besides the few employed by our intelligence agencies, will retain their privacy. This lack of privacy will result in no one outside those agencies possessing the motivation to defend the nation. Look around, ask yourself who will follow you when there is no more trust? Many rich and powerful Americans thought they were exempt from privacy intrusions during the last election cycle. They were not. I also fully believe that: The Government should not be able to spy on US Citizens without recourse to a court order. The Government should not be able to create and use Propaganda on its citizens. The Government should not be able to imprison a us citizen without his being able to have a hearing by a non-partial Judge. I believe that the Military should not be used to perform policing within the United States (Posse Comitatus). Unfortunately, all of these are now "legal" in the United States (although each has gray areas regarding specifics). That's why I really hope that President Trump will appoint Conservative, Constitutionalist Justices to the Supreme Court.
