I was not there, so it makes no sense to me.

I had some minor issues when I came home four and a half decades ago but nothing that messed with my life like I hear from many other vets. I never got into drinking or drugs, but I did become a workaholic. Everybody's PTSD is unique to them. Took me over 10 years to start listening to my family that I wasn't right and needed help. After w years of therapy and a divorce I am much better but will always have my symptoms. Now when I feel rage, depression, or anxiety coming on i can give fair warning to others. I can take proative steps to limit hurt feelings and physical damage to people and things. But I still have the out of the blue flashback from time to time. Never ready for those. PO2 Christopher A. I don't do crowds very well. Unless they're people I know or fellow veterans. When I know I'm going to a store I get amped up. I hafta take my anxiety med even before we leave. And I have a service dog to assist me. I don't like people in my personal bubble. Behind me especially.
