I am stationed at Fort Bliss, TX where the elevation is a bit higher which makes it harder on running but I manager to pass all portions of my PT test but I do worse in the run. Never mattered how many I did I still barely made the minimum....<br />I never had much problem with the old 5 event PT Test...Maybe I was just younger... They always kick my ass and I have no idea why. Maybe now that I have lost weight, they won't be as hard. Then the run, push-ups for me was always easy. I run 3-4 times a week, and it still doesn't help. I've done sprints, I've done long distance, other cardio etc and I still can't get below 14:00. The junior enlisted are generally good to go and listen to their deficiencies and correct them. Mid level and senior NCOs tend to be less receptive. I'm sorry 1SG but if you don't go all the way down or up they aren't being counted. I&#39;ve always struggled with them, even before the army. Part of my problem is inconsistent workouts, I&#39;ll get four or five ncos all telling me to do diffrent thing and none of them are just straight sit-ups. What has worked to a point for me (when im not already burnt out from doing crunches planks ect... all day) is push-up sit-up drills after work.
