However, the information published in the Annex is more specific (format is the same as the FRAGO) but it almost repeats itself. I question the use of the Annex as it appears to be another FRAGO in this context.
What is this section often used for? FM 6-0 is a little vague. What is the appropriate use of Annex C (Operations) in a FRAGO?2019-11-15T09:36:23-05:00CPT Private RallyPoint Member5238844

Our BN staff recently changed and the new S3 is utilizing the Annex C (Operations) in the FRAGOS. It lays out the details of what each Annex, Appendix, Tab, Chart, etc. are supposed to be.
To your point, typically, Annex C is used to include graphics, add'l maps, supporting details to the operational / tactical plan, etc... Also, typically a FRAGO is just that - Fragmentary - and isn't designed to be extremely long.
That being said, it is possible that the use of Annex C with a FRAGO could be necessary if the Annex is providing amplifying information for what is written in Paragraph 3 of the Base FRAGO. If however, it is just copying and pasting from the FRAGO, it's a waste of time....and reeks of the school house mentality where everything was judged by thickness!!!Response by LTC Tom McNew made Nov 15 at 2019 4:49 PM2019-11-15T16:49:24-05:002019-11-15T16:49:24-05:002019-11-15T09:36:23-05:00
