What is the appropriate way to report to my unit for inprocessing? https://www.rallypoint.com/answers/what-is-the-appropriate-way-to-report-to-my-unit-for-inprocessing

I have been done with army bct for almost two weeks. I live 6 hours from my unit (my college is only 30 minutes from the unit). My recruiter said to just call the unit instead of drive down early before college starts to report. I have called nearly half a dozen times and even called the recruiting station that is next to the unit to see if the number I had for my unit was right. I go down to college tomorrow and I plan on driving to the unit Friday and just walking in to report and do inprocess. Is this okay? And if so, do I wear civilian clothes? If they’re not answering any calls or emails, then it shouldn’t be a problem for you to show up. Do you have a sponsor? Who is the higher headquarters (Battalion)? They may be able to tell you if they are away at Annual Training. Most reserve units have at least an active duty Operations NCO and either a civilian personnel administrator or military PAC clerk, who will in-process you.
If you tell us your unit, we may be able to shed light on who you can contact within the CoC (w/o getting you into trouble or wasting your time driving out there if they are at training or school).
As SGT Private RallyPoint Member mentioned, you will need to report in uniform with your orders in hand and that folder they gave you when you graduated.
Have you received a welcome letter packet at your HOR? There may be details in it on who your sponsor is and the training schedule for the year as well as in processing and reporting procedures.
