Over the years there have been countless number of songs made that reflect patriotism or disdain towards the military/government/war etc. Some songs are better than others, some happy, some sad, and some ridiculous. Some songs have embedded themselves and are associated over and over again with a certain period. Ie: "Fortunate Son" and "We've gotta get out of this place" will forever be connected to the Vietnam War. "Courtesy of the Red White and Blue" will always be connected to OEF.

What songs are your favorite and least favorite and why?

I have have always been a fan of the "Ballad of the Green Berets" and "8th of November" they both seem to highlight patriotism, duty, courage and hold the military in a positive light.

My least favorite, I am not sure if I have a least favorite, will need to think about that some more and come back to it.

We've all had those songs that trigger tons of emotion in our hearts and drive extreme pride in our cause. &nbsp;Which song does that for you?<div>I'm going to have to say Lee Greenwood's "Proud to be an American" is often overplayed, so let's leave that one out of the responses...</div>
